School Uniform

Wearing a school uniform is important in setting out the identity of our school. We want our children to take pride in their uniforms and be proud to be a pupil at Straidhavern PS. Wearing a uniform also helps to prepare the pupils for the requirements of secondary/grammar school education as well as for the world of work that lies in their future.

We have reviewed our school uniform and introduced a new logo and school ties. Polo shirts have been replaced by white school shirts and pupils should no longer be wearing trainers to school except for PE days (please check for timetables with class teachers if you are unsure!).

All other uniform items are available from stores such as Asda or Tesco.

PE Kits

To ensure that our school identity is equally prevalent when attending sporting activities outside of school, we have made the decision to adopt a whole school PE kit. On their class-specific PE days, pupils ought to wear a plain white (or school-branded) polo shirt with plain black shorts, leggings or jogging bottoms. They may wear their usual school sweatshirt or cardigan on top. It is not necessary for pupils to bring a change of clothes on PE days, and on these days they may wear trainers as opposed to their usual school shoes.
